Christina Parsons, Owner of Ever After Designs
Brides
choose Ever After Designs because of the one-on-one attention that Christina
Parsons gives each of her clients, and the quality of work that she offers. While she is
primarily chosen for her wedding decorating services, this wedding-savvy young woman can do just about everything you need - from designing your wedding
cake and fresh floral bridal bouquet to your entire wedding day décor. It's not
just her creative talent that keeps her brides happy, it's also her philosophy
on weddings and how it translates to the service she provides for her brides, "Whether a bride has $200 or $2000, they each deserve
that fairytale wedding."
Because of her unique multi-service
background in wedding design and her apparent limitless enthusiasm for
weddings, The Ring sat down with Tina (as her colleagues, clients and friends refer her) to find out more
about what she had to offer Brantford area brides...
Personally speaking...
Tina gives you the distinct feeling that she isn't
afraid to take on a challenge. This young woman is a definite 'go-getter', and
if she puts half as much enthusiasm into your
wedding decorations as she does
into building a relationship with you, then you're in safe hands here.
Tina's involvement
in the wedding business began while working in a local bakery for over ten
years. She watched the demand for a local cake designer grow, and actually began
her wedding career by designing wedding cakes.
As time went on she
began to get more creative with the fresh flowers she was using to decorate her
cakes. People were saying how creative she was and so she began decorating cake
tables as an extra service for her brides and grooms. As her cake business grew,
Tina knew she wanted to get even further into the art of weddings, and began
purchasing inventory to become a wedding decorator. "When God gives you a talent you better use it!,"
says Tina. Once her cake clients found out she had started getting involved in wedding
décor, the rest took on a life of its own.

While in the past
Tina has participated in bridal shows and placed advertisements in the local
bridal book, Your Wedding Portfolio, Tina points to word of mouth as her biggest
contributor to her early success. "It feels so good to know that brides are
recommending my services. It lets me know that they're happy with what I've done
for their special day."
Ever After Designs
is going into its fourth year of business. In fact, 2007 promises to be Tina's
busiest year yet.

her, Tina will take your wedding space and turn it into your wedding dream - or
fairytale as she likes to call it -
custom designed specifically to what you envisioned and chose when you first met
with her. She can design your centrepieces, your wedding bouquets, and your
entire wedding day atmosphere.

Because you have to
wonder how this is even possible, Tina says that she makes sure her company will always give
each wedding the full attention it deserves. "I want to make sure I can
always give each
couple my full attention." Tina offers this same attention to each of her
clients, no matter what size their wedding guest list, venue or budget.
Getting comfortable
As we interviewed Tina, we sat in her
Paris home where she meets with clients to plan their décor from start to
finish. In this cozy space, Tina offers displays of photos, a
comfortable place to sit, and lots of conversation to lead you into thinking
about what you really want for your wedding day. Tina believes that it's because
she is a home-based business that her brides are able to enjoy a more personal
experience when choosing her to be their decorator.
After meeting with
her for the first time, Tina's open personality makes you will feel like you have
known her most of your life. All of her consultations are geared to be more of a
brainstorming session than a high-pressure sales meeting. "I would never
pressure a bride into paying more for decorations that she really doesn't
need or want."
Creativity in business
Tina's design style
can be described as classical, without being scared of colour. We asked her to
describe her own ideal wedding. "I love classic weddings because they are
timeless. Elegant weddings are always in style and the decorations never go out. They can be changed to meet
every style!" This is why Tina stocks so many great,
classically-influenced pieces. With trendy accents and a punch of bright
or striking colour, they offer the elegance that every bride wants for their
wedding.

centrepieces, money and card holders, coloured accents, chair covers, floral
bouquets and arrangements... and so much more!

Wedding Portfolio, a planner for Brantford area brides.

Kitchener-Waterloo region for 13 years. This planner is

material, ivy and any colour of organza overlay you desire.

Ever After
understands every wedding is unique and so are the couple's budget. "I have packages for all brides and all
budgets!," says Tina, using the term package loosely. Nothing is set in stone
here. If you see it in her portfolio, you can likely have it.
Any item Tina
carries can be rented separately or as part of a package.
If you don't see
it, Tina will investigate ways to get it. "I have so many ideas, so many
thoughts going through my head while I listen to a bride and groom talk about
their wedding... Basically, if I can do it, I will."
To give you an
idea of what to expect, Tina's packages begin at $400, which includes a backdrop
as well as head table and cake table décor. "Depending on a bride's needs and
desires, decorating can begin at $400 and range up to $1000," says Tina. "Same
for their bridal bouquets, if they are willing to keep an open mind, choosing
less expensive, but still beautiful flowers can save them a lot!" Ever After
Designs is all about being affordable, and still creating an elegant, fairytale
wedding.
