How we
met...
at a house
party through friends.
How
he proposed...
gave me a gift bag with our three children
around me on just another day, in the bag was the ring and a card that said
will you marry me?
How we feel about our upcoming married
life ...
very content and happy with our future, overwhelmed with the planning of the
wedding, too much to do not enough day light!
Our dream wedding could be described as...
laughing, smiles, drinks, good food, and hopefully a skinny bride and a very
sexy groom! hehe.
Our colour/theme:
bright red, black and white.
planning
So far (by
October 10, 2007) we've planned...
venue: Paris Grand and Golf Club (Riverhouse) food in same place, a Maggie
dress, did invites myself, made my own card box, ummm that's it for now I
think.
Our biggest concern right now is...
we haven't went ring shopping for our bands yet
and time is a tick'n.

We wanted to
share our story because...
It's been the most incredible journey throughout the planning process and
it's fun to read and share stories with other couples experiencing the same
things as we are.
How
he proposed...
We were lying on our trampoline at his house
and as usual, we were somewhat arguing about marriage and how women like to
hear the four special words 'will you marry me' from the man she loves,
knowing that he feels the same way about her and showing it. So, being
stubborn and saying what I wanted to hear, he asked me to marry him... and
my first reaction was, "I'm not answering that, you're not serious so I'm
not saying anything". He asked me again telling me he was serious... and
once again, I said I wouldn't answer until he was serious, because I only
thought he was saying it to shut me up. He asked me how he wasn't being
serious, and I responded, "There's no ring, we're lying on a trampoline, I'm
tanning and we're arguing... you're not serious." So he took these little
mini-pinecone thingys that fell from the tree onto the trampoline, said he
would tape a bunch of them together and create my ring. So you could all
imagine my excitement thinking that he was being stupid, and he ran inside
the house to get the tape to make me this ring; when he came out, he had my
actual ring and he placed the box in my hand (when I thought he had the
taped pinecone ring). It totally shocked me - I wasn't expecting anything
more than a taped piece of tree wrapped around my finger, when it really was
the most beautiful ring I've ever seen.
How we feel about our upcoming married
life ...
I'm excited, thrilled beyond belief, and scared (in a good way). I've never
been out on my own - I lived at home throughout University and College, so
I've never had to be out in 'the real world' with grown-up responsibilities.
I am very excited to be able to go out on my own with Jason, knowing that we
are doing it on our own.
Our dream wedding could be described as...
The best
day that we could have together to celebrate our love for one another. A day
full of smiles, tears, laughter, family and friends getting together for
good food, drinks and dancing. An all-around good time for everyone
attending.

planning
So far (by
April 17, 2008) we've planned...
EVERYTHING! Everything is done... now it's just a matter of buying the
little things to fill in the gaps. We've got the church and hall booked, the
dresses purchased, the rental decorations booked, the cake (very yummy), the
hair/spa treatments booked, the photographer, the videographer, the
transportation... and so much more I forget what I've done. Thank god for
wedding day planners!
Our biggest concern right now is...
That something could go so catastrophically
wrong to upset me. I'm a very organized and nit-picky person, I'm afraid
that something will go wrong and ruin the day. I know it's sad to say, but I
want everything to be perfect. I'm trying to prepare myself now, so that
when something does go wrong (something always does - big or small), that I
will be prepared for it.
