Chartrand Photography say couples choose
them for flexibility & the ability to think in colour
When we
first met Christina Chartrand at the Paris Bridal Show this past
January, it was her genuine personality that first won us over. Her
candid story-telling photos, more than reasonable prices and
professional training were bonuses that we couldn't ignore. As an
industry newcomer, Christina specializes in both film and digital
wedding photography. From a simple, short documentation of your
wedding ceremony, to complete wedding coverage from rehearsal to the
reception party, Christina gives her brides and grooms the coverage
options they are looking for. Let us explain... With a lifelong
affinity for photography, Christina has known for a long time that
wedding photography was the route she wanted to take. "I knew it was
the right path because I love it. It doesn't even feel like work to
me..." So, before she took on the wedding industry, Christina armed
herself with professional training and equipment knowledge. She
graduated from Sheridan College’s photography program in 1999
averaging 100% in her courses before going on to Mohawk College where
she specialized in Wedding Photography. Christina now stays on top of
trends by taking correspondence courses, her most recent being a
digital imaging course...

Purely Music brings a classic touch to your wedding
day with cello or string ensembles
Live instrumental music
holds a unique power to set the tone of a wedding day with its
characteristic rich sound and elegant appearance. Cellist, Natalie
Williams, knows this better than anyone because she has been
performing at weddings for over fifteen years. With talents that have
taken her across the globe, we felt honoured that she chose to focus
her future on our local wedding community. Natalie owns Purely Music,
a business which organizes a group of seasoned musicians who perform
live classical music for some of life's most important events. Either
performing her cello alone or amidst a string ensemble of several
musicians, Natalie coordinates music for countless local indoor and
outdoor wedding ceremonies, garden parties, rehearsal dinners,
engagement parties, cocktail hours, receptions, anniversaries and
showers. We sat down with Natalie to find out more about what she does
for brides. Music isn't just Natalie's passion, it's in her blood.
Both of her parents are professional musicians so it may have been
inevitable that she take a similar path. Growing up in a musical
family means...

Five
generation family business offers shelter, style and quality for local
outdoor weddings
Drumbo Tent
Company has a reputation for serving brides with both shelter and
style for local outdoor weddings. With the outdoor wedding becoming
more and more popular, we wanted to be sure to tell you everything you
needed to know about one of the best in the tent business. Talking
with Owner Monica Taylor for the first time, we could immediately feel
that expertise and personal touch that you'd expect from a family
company that spans five decades like Drumbo Tent. With a bride's best
interests as her focus, Monica along with her husband J.R. and a team
of professionals provide wedding day necessities for countless
weddings in the area each year. Decades of experience, quality and
selection of product, and personal service keep brides coming to
Drumbo Tent after 116 years. Let us explain... Today's Drumbo Tent
Company is run by J.R. and Monica Taylor. A.D. Enticknap, great
grandfather to J.R. Taylor, established a blind-making business in
Drumbo in 1890. His son Alfred joined him in the business which soon
expanded to include hardware, tinsmithing and canvas manufacturing.
After Alfred's time, his daughter Evelyn and her husband Jack Taylor
(J.R.'s grandparents) took over the business and...

Ceremonial white dove releases by Jacobs Loft offer a
symbolic tribute to true love... and an incredible photo opportunity
Jacob
Vanderschee of Jacobs Loft in St. Williams, Ontario has been raising
and releasing white ceremonial doves at weddings for over fifteen
years. Because doves mate for life, the release of them as you exit
the church or are pronounced man and wife can be amazing. This service
offers both a unique and symbolic way to celebrate your wedding vows
while also making for an incredible photo opportunity. The Ring has
seen the way Jacob can draw a crowd with his expertly trained doves at
various bridal shows in the area. So, with a service that offers a
real tribute to true love, The Ring knew we had to meet Jacob's Loft
in person to find out more. Here’s what we learned... Jacob
Vanderschee, Owner and Operator of Jacobs Loft ceremonial white dove
releases, grew up in Holland where he was very involved in the raising
of doves and pigeons, especially during his teenage years. After
moving to Canada, he came across a dove ceremony at a market square
while traveling in Quebec City that he was inspired to use his
experience to enhance weddings. Jacob’s daughter was...
