Designs by Sharon is for the bride who is dreaming of her own celebrity bridal gown, but without the designer price tag that comes with it. Sharon Essery, owner and designer of Designs by Sharon makes it her specialty to tailor each design to the body style and size of the clients who come through her doors. Offering everything from mini tuxedos for ring bearers, to customized veils for brides, Designs by Sharon makes the idea of a Cinderella transformation seem easy. Sharon began sewing twenty years ago. "... Back in the dark ages when maternity clothes weren't adorable," she laughed. As her pregnancy soon became motherhood, Sharon found herself creating children's clothes, Christening gowns, doll clothes, and all things small and sweet. Prom dresses followed, then bridesmaids gowns, and finally, wedding gowns as her designs grew up along with her children. Two years ago, Sharon took the hobby she loved and turned it into her future. She opened Designs by Sharon in December of 2004, and has since created gowns for five full wedding parties including the bride's gown as well as dresses for her bridesmaids.
